[ARCHIVED] Reminder Regarding the Winona Dog Park Play Areas

CoW Logo - Park Rec - Color - White Background

The Winona Dog Park has two separate play areas designed to match different energy levels in dogs. The larger area is great for high-energy dogs that love to run and play hard. The smaller area is better suited for dogs who are calmer, older, or just prefer a quieter space.

It's a common misconception that the smaller area is only for small dogs, but that’s not the case. Dogs of any size are welcome in either section, as long as their behavior and energy level are a good fit for the group.

Aggressive dogs or those that don’t get along well with others are not allowed in either area. If a dog shows aggressive behavior, it must be leashed and removed from the park right away.

If you see unsafe behavior or need to report an aggressive dog, please call the Winona Police Department’s non-emergency Animal Control number at 507-457-6294. If no answer, leave a message. If it is an emergency, call 911.
