For residents of the City of Winona
Smoke alarms save lives! Home fires claim seven lives every day, but having working smoke alarms can cut the risk of death by half. That’s why the American Red Cross of Minnesota and Dakotas region is rallying volunteers to install free smoke alarms, create escape plans and share fire safety information as part of our nationwide Sound the Alarm events and Home Fire Campaign to help save lives.
If you cannot afford to purchase smoke alarms or are physically unable to install a smoke alarm, the Red Cross may be able to help. On Saturday May 11th Red Cross along with the City of Winona's Fire Department will be installing FREE smoke alarms in the community.
Request a smoke alarm installation today by visiting SoundTheAlarm.org/mndaks, or Call (507) 287-2200.
